Are you ready for a challenge? Improv classes are a great way for you to learn performance skills, self-confidence, and the ability to handle yourself on-the-spot.

You'll be surprised at the hidden talents you have! Many of our students have gone on to be part of the Twin Cities performing community, others have used the benefits of improv to better their professional and personal lives.

Classes meet once a week for two-hour sessions. If you are interested in performing onstage you may audition for The Stevie Ray’s Comedy Troupe.

	Classes Improvisation Technique Level I This beginning class is the first step in your training. This course gives you the fundamentals of stage work, self-confidence, and powerful presentation. You take this course if you are interested in becoming a performer or if you are looking for personal or professional growth. A new beginning class starts almost every month. Here are the next two classes scheduled. Once you join, you can stay as long as you wish. July Tuesdays 6:30-8:30p.m. July 28 - September 15 Maximum class size is 16. Remaining spots available: 11 Cost: $180.00 _________________________________________________________________________ Improvisation Technique Level II After you complete Improvisation Technique I you stay with the same class and the same teacher so you can continue without interruption. Pre-requisite: Completion of Improvisation Technique I or the equivalent. July Thursdays 6:30-8:30p.m. July 9 - August 27 Cost: $180.00
	After you complete the above two courses, you may continue with more training by choosing one or more of the following options.
	Think on Your Feet		Improv for the Stage
	This class is for those who love improv, but aren't necessarily interested in becoming a performer. It is great training for thinking on-the-spot and delivering yourself with poise and command. Feel more comfortable in professional or social settings. Pre-requisite: Completion of Improvisation Technique I & II or the equivalent. Mondays 6:30-8:30p.m. Cost: $180.00 per eight weeks		This class is for those who want to get on stage, either as a member of the Stevie Ray’s Comedy Troupe, or in other performing arts. Learn techniques to sharpen your performance skills and be more effective on stage. This class is taught by renowned improv performer, director, and producer Mark Bergren Pre-requisite: Completion of Improvisation Technique I & II or the equivalent. Sundays Noon-2:00p.m. Cost: $180.00 per eight weeks


	Comedy Sketch Writing		Masters Class
	Mark Bergren, one of the most well-known and experienced sketch comedy directors in the country, takes you through the entire process of creating a fantastic written work. You perform in other students' sketches as well as direct them in performing your work. The class culminates with your sketches being performed at a special showcase at Stevie Ray's Comedy Cabaret before a live audience. Sundays 2:30-4:30p.m. March 29 - May 17 Cost: $200.00		Members of the Stevie Ray's Comedy Troupe work to become the most skilled professional improv performers in Minnesota, and beyond. SEVEN REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN AN IMPROV CLASS AT STEVIE RAY’S

When you really dissect it, there are even more reasons to join an improv class at Stevie Ray’s. Improvisation, or improv, has no script, but there are guidelines and techniques that we teach that help you think on your feet and develop new skills. The results can be very funny. Quite simply, it’s a great way for adults to play. All this may sound intimidating, especially if you don’t have experience. The majority of our students have no experience before joining class, and they include young adults through senior citizens, able-bodied and physically challenged... you name it. If this sounds like something you would like to try, give us a call. After all, there are plenty of good reasons why you should try improv, but we can’t think of one why you shouldn’t.
