The Life and Death Comedy Show

The American Journal of Preventative Medicine reports that over 70% of Americans do not have end-of-life planning in place. A lack of end-of-life planning leads to mistakes concerning life-saving measures and long-term care. This can result in traumatic issues for family and loved ones, as well as serious complications for health care organizations. To address this issue, Stevie Ray’s worked with advanced care directors and health care professionals from major health care institutions in Minnesota to create a show that would not only educate the public about end-of-life issues, but would make talking about death more comfortable.

This show was a great way to share the importance of advance care planning using humor to elevate how important this work is. I would go again!

The result is The Life and Death Comedy Show. The show does not make fun of death, it makes light of the fact that most Americans do not discuss with family and friends the one inevitable outcome facing us all. The Life and Death Comedy Show combines humor, education, and audience interaction to create an experience that enlightens and well as entertains. The show has been performed for the public at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret at the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, as well as at conferences, company events, schools, and religious organizations.

The Stevie Ray team are TRUE professionals. They took a sensitive subject and tactfully made it funny. They have talent that very few comedy teams have. They knocked it out of the park. Don’t miss this show!
