Mark is a native of the rugged northern suburbs, a proud New Brightoner well-versed in strip malls, fast food chains and unsuccessful sports teams. Once married, he moved his family across the mighty St. Croix for the solitude of Somerset, Wi where his family expanded female-ily with two daughters.
Mark studied theater, film and screenwriting at the University of Minnesota and Minneapolis Community and Technical College. His improvisational training began in 1998 and continued through 2001 under the tutelage of Stevie Ray’s. Then, after a long hiatus, trained at HUGE theater in Minneapolis for 2 years before performing with the long form improv group Miscellaneous Etc.
When not at Stevie Ray’s Mark performs stand-up comedy, so look for him at open mic nights around town. He also is an author who has published the novel Hot Minnesota Sex Death and the short story Under the Milky Way with more works on the way.
Returning to Stevie Ray’s in the spring of 2017, Mark hopes you laugh with him and also at him.
