Whether you want skills to improve your career, aspire to perform onstage, or are looking for a fun activity, a Stevie Ray’s class is for you! After completing all six levels, students will be invited to create a Student Improv Team. The team will be coached by a member of The Stevie Ray’s Comedy Troupe.

BEGINNING I IMPROV
This six-week class is for beginners. Learn basic skills and concepts in a fun, hands-on workshop environment. Whether you want to perform improv, or are interested in sharpening skills for your personal or professional life, this is the class for you!

This six-week class is those who have completed Beginning I. Continue to build your skills to use for personal or professional growth. This class culminates with you performing in a showcase for your friends and family at our cabaret at the famous Chanhassen Dinner Theatres.

BEGINNING STAND-UP COMEDY
In this four-session course, you will learn the techniques of writing comedy material, plus the secrets that professional comedians use when performing for an audience. Throughout the course, you will build an act and practice performance techniques. The class culminates with an exciting recital so you can show off your new skills for family and friends.

MUSICAL IMPROV
This six-week class is for improv performers in the community, or students that have completed all six levels of improv training. Learn the basics of vocal performance as well as musical improvisation.

SKETCH COMEDY WRITING & PERFORMANCE
If you love Saturday Night Live or Monty Python’s Flying Circus, here is your chance to get your creative, crazy ideas on paper, and on the stage. This six-week course teaches the techniques of comedy sketch writing across the genres. The class culminates with your sketch(s) being performed for a live audience at a showcase at Stevie Ray’s Comedy Cabaret.

OWN IT WITH STEVIE RAY
